2007 Girl Teams: 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U (JR Eligible), 18U

 The LADY SHOOTING STARS BASKETBALL ORGANIZATION is a non-profit, community-based youth sports organization whose primary objective is to develop leadership, sportsmanship and educational excellence in our youths. We accomplish this objective through sporting events that instill Teamwork, Growth and Development.

 We are just so proud of our ladies for their hard work and efforts. This year (2006) we have earned a National Bid for our 11u, 14u, 15u, and 16u Teams. Job well done ladies! These young ladies have worked extremely hard for this great achievement, and will attend the National Championships, held in Branson, MO., Orlando, FL.

 For the pass four years in a row, through sheer determination and plenty of hard work, our girls teams from the Fort Meade, Maryland area finished with a National Bid, Held during the Maryland State Amateur Athletic Union Qualifying Tournament in the month of May. These wonderful Lady Shooting Stars were then invited to represent Maryland in the AAU National Championships. The 16-year-old ladies finished third in the country 2005 (Div. II). We are just so proud of our ladies for their hard work and efforts. This year (2007) we have high hopes and expectations for a National Bid for our 12u, 13u, 14u, 15u & 16u (Jr. Eligible), 18u Teams.

 Recently (2006), we have (2) of our young ladies to receive Division 1 Scholarships to Temple University (KC) Kristie Watkins & Towson State University (O) Omara Parker.

 Coaches, Players and their Parents are holding fundraising activities to help defray costs for basketball registration, tournament fees, lodging and travel expenses to include worn out basketball equipment. This has been a great accomplishment for some of our girls who come from low-income families/father or mother away at war in the military and can’t afford to pay basketball team expenses. We are asking for your support!! Any donations from your organization would be greatly appreciated. For tax purposes Our Tax ID Number is listed above, and also we will add your companies name and address onto our web site, send to you updated team information, team pictures on Plaques for you to display at your company.

 I hope that you decide to support our teams in this worthwhile endeavor. Any of our team leaders would be more than happy to speak with you personally about the organization. We do appreciate your consideration. This year (2007) we are more determined to return to the Div l or Div ll Championships, with a strong goal to win it all in 2007!
