DIRECTOR IS HONORED BY MARYLAND AAU COMMISSIONER

This past weekend, CEO and Director Johnny Mack was awarded the Maryland Amateur Athletics Union (AAU) Governor’s Award for Girls’ Basketball. Over the past decade he has transformed the club from a one team organization into an organization that focuses on the development of student athletes spanning the ages of 13 thru 17.

Based in Anne Arundel County he has partnered with other area clubs, who primarily focus on the development of athletes in the age range of 8 – 12 years old, to serve as feeder system for the club’s teams. He maintains working relationships with the local High School teams, both public and private, in order to ensure that the athletes from his organization are prepared to fulfill the needs of their academic institution when they enter their basketball programs.

He is the complete volunteer taking on such roles as chauffeur athletes from home to practice or games and then back home again, fund raiser, recruiter, and head coach. Johnny Mack has no children who are participants in the AAU program and willingly gives his time, money and efforts to the girls. He continuously strives to motivate his athletes to achieve excellence in everything they do whether on the basketball court or in the classroom.
