A last count of the thirteen incoming freshmen who play basketball for the Maryland Lady Shooting Stars 94s Gold & Blue rendered that all thirteen of the fourteen are playing for their respective high school varsity teams. Moreover, seven are starting for their respective clubs and the others are getting playing time. Congratulations are extended to: Daisy Aleeza (Roland Park), Imani Bailey (Spalding), Jonelle Britt (Spalding), Domonique Hagins (South River), Aleeyah Hopkins (South River), Dinah Jones (Wilson Memorial, VA), Raven Makins (Spalding), Quay Malloy (Aberdeen), Tiffany Padgett (Pallotti), Antwane’ Parks (Digital Harbor), Kelly Rinard (Annapolis), Moriah Rowser and Kazzidy Stewart (both at St. Johns College High School). It should be noted that Déjà Gibson is starting on junior varsity (Wise) where she is having a prolific season. These young ladies epitomize the Shooting Stars’ theme last year--A Commitment to Excellence. It is evident that their hard work is paying off.
