If you are a Lady Stars player and is a current Senior and will be Graduating this spring , please go to the below site fill out Application, get it back to me before the cut-off date and I will submit it for you….. 5 May is the deadline, so if you want to submit to me I must have it before 1 May 2007…

The family of the late Richard Gregory Freeland recognizes the importance of education for the next generation. Therefore, the family has established an educational scholarship fund in memory of their 50 day old son who passed away in 1992. Scholarships has been awarded on the basis of scholastic achievement, leadership, extracurricular activities, and service to the school and community. The scholarships will be awarded again this year to those applicants who meet and/or exceed the eligibility criteria. Each recipient will receive a scholarship ranging from $1,000 - $2,500 .

Over the past three years, the Freeland Scholarship program has funded $137,000 in scholarships to 31 students attending colleges and universities such as the University of Maryland, College Park and Eastern Shore, North Carolina Chapel Hill, Morehouse College, North Carolina A&T, University of Virginia, Howard University, Delaware State, Florida A&M University, Tufts University, etc. “The first Freeland Scholars are expected to graduate with the class of 2008 and "I couldn’t be more proud,” stated the Kathryn B. Freeland, Scholarship Chairperson.
